Review

The BlissLights Sky Lite – Laser Galaxy Projector will take people through nebula clouds bursting with stars that transform right before their very eyes. The whole bedroom will be filled with a galaxy of colorful stars that is enough to make any adult in search of a whimsical world. This is appealing to all ages with its stunning light. It has its own shortcomings as a product, however, and this review will evaluate its significant features and details.

Scope of delivery

The packaging is so-so and is also subject to damage during the shipping period. The box includes the light itself, inclusive of a 3-foot long AC adapter cord. It also comes with an instruction manual. Packages without manuals usually make it difficult to put together. One has to go through the struggle of estimates and go with gut feeling (which is not always reliable since one can break the product while trying to assemble it). It’s not battery-operated; hence, there’s no need for batteries. However, a considerable distance from the wall socket is needed, so one cannot carry it everywhere.

Start-up

To start the projector, plug the cord into the power source. It does not automatically turn on, so the user must manually push the button to turn it on. The user can set the timer to his/her desired choice (up to six hours). It is handy, especially if one wants the light to stay on through the night. A downside to this device is its short cord. I advise that users utilize an extension cord. I had to make sure to find a place convenient for the projector and the power supply. Overall, the buttons are easy to navigate. It does take a short while, though, before it turns on.

Functionality

This product has good lighting with a unique nebula of stars. The display is bright but only enough to project the experience of being in the nebula. However, it only gives off one color as a laser. On the other hand, one can use the device as a night light or for parties. The blue projection can fit into the party environment easily.

The buttons are simple enough. It has a rotation option, along with a brightness adjustment button and a start or a stop button for the motion. A user can also set the timer for six hours. The downside is that the speed of the rotation is problematic and cannot be adjusted. The timer also sets itself for the fixed six hours, where one cannot modify it after finalizing the time set.

On the other hand, the LED bulb provides a solid blue nebula. The green stars, however, can be improved more as it may not be appealing in its projection. It does a magnificent job in projection, nevertheless.

The product runs on 120 voltage, but some customers have attested to it blending just fine with 220 voltage. The package is small, an upside for travel. However, since it cannot run on battery, it isn’t very pleasant for areas without a power source. Some people have also attested to the light not lasting for a long time, which questions the product’s durability. So far, however, it’s stunning in quality both as a night light and a projector.

Quality

The galaxy projector does not last for a long time. It has a bit of a defect with its timer that cannot be adjusted and, sometimes, turns off after four hours instead of the promised six. The quality of the projected images is magnificent, notably the bright centerpiece. What is bothersome, though, is the images’ tendency to dazzle. The product is made of plastic, but the packaging looks good.

Service / Support

The BlissLights Sky Lite – Laser Projector does not mention any warranty or service support in its product description. When visiting Amazon’s online website, it redirects readers to another page that asks them to contact the manufacturers directly for assistance. For online products, there is usually a 14-day warranty provided by Amazon. Interested customers can also contact them directly for any complications with the product. They can provide replacements for defective products.

Price Performance

When looking at other night lights and star projectors, this one is more expensive. The price is over $40 in Amazon, quite fair in regards to the quality of the images it produces. For its durability, on the other hand, it is a letdown. In the range from good to very good, it is “good” for its price. There is no question when it comes to the quality of its light. I’d say it’s pretty good in that area.

Pros

  • good quality
  • modern design
  • multi-purpose use – for relaxing and for parties
  • bright laser projection
  • simple operatability

Cons

  • only one color of the laser
  • bright light sometimes dazzles
  • remains with some Amazon customers not especially long

Conclosure – BlissLights Sky Lite

The unique light of the BlissLights Sky Lite – Laser Projector is different from those of standard star projectors. This product is versatile in the sense that it can be used as a night light, a star projector, and a party light. The nebula feature of the wide blue light covering the whole room is stunning. The center design is also bright and attractive. It takes its strength from its design. There are a few shortcomings, however, such as the timer and the rotation. I think the product can be improved in those areas.
